Transport
The function enables the assignment of available transfer orders to resources, e.g. defined industrial truck (types). It offers the option to specify intermediate destinations as transfer points between source and destination storage locations.
Transport menus
The entries for transport menus (resources) can currently only be maintained by COGLAS. The number of transport menus is not limited.
Zone type: “Transport Routing”
The definition of intermediate destinations is performed with the zone type “Transport Routing”. The zones are created with a unique name as with the “Storage area code” (Configuration › Input values) and assigned to the respective node in the storage overview.
In the configuration of transport routing (Transport → Transport Routing), a resource is assigned source and destination zones (additionally an intermediate destination if the destination zone cannot be reached directly with the resource).
For all current and future transport orders, the system checks the matrix in descending order for a match between the transport order and the parameters. At the first positive adjustment, the TO is sorted into the respective menu.
In the overview of transport requests → All categories, only the resources configured in “Transport Routing” are displayed.
Description follows.
The goal is to create the possibility to control the target staging area depending on the carrier at the customer order header. The challenge with only one staging area is that if there are multiple carriers, all orders are posted to one staging area. With multiple staging areas, processes are better overviewed.
Depending on the forwarder, the relation and the tariff in the sales order header, each customer order can be assigned a specific staging area in COGLAS. Ex. DHL CEP staging area at COGLAS.
COGLAS settings:
- Storage options: Transport → Activate sorting destinations (restart necessary).
- System: Input values → Edit relation and tariff (relation and tariff can be entered in the sales order header)
Path: System → Transport Rules → Sort Targets

- Notice: Each forwarder can have different staging areas by means of the relation and / or tariff using the strategies as a destination point in the COGLAS.
Based on the sorting targets, the loading targets are used to implement the link between previously defined staging areas (in sorting targets) and the goods out gates. Automatic tour creation and / or transport orders as well as successive loading are setting options for loading destinations.
