Administration
The print templates delivered with the WMS can be edited by the administrator of the system and saved as their own template. COGLAS uses the software Stimulsoft Reports for document generation. Designer is used to create and customize the templates. The data provided from the application for printing cannot be supplemented (please report extension requests via Service Desk). The function is assigned to the Administration section in the system menu.
When the function is called, the list of print templates is displayed, from which the one to be changed can be selected.
The first column contains the unique name of the print template, which should be changed before saving a modified template in Designer to avoid accidental overwriting. If no templates have been changed yet, the list will look like the one shown below.
The Open report button opens the Stimulsoft Designer for editing the document template. A modified template should be saved under a meaningful name to avoid confusion.
In addition, a copy of the template can be saved on a drive of the computer via File → Save as and imported again via File → Open. The following image shows the list of templates with an example of naming different storage location labels. It can be seen that the original layout cannot be deleted. Only one template can be active for the storage location labels.
After pressing the Open report button, the editor will open in a new tab of the browser (here for the template “Storage location labels – 106×30”).
The interface is similar to the Office package. Depending on the selected workspace (here Home) and selected component (here the page) certain operations are possible on the ribbon. Frames can be defined for the page here.
Centrally in the right area of the screen the layout of the template is shown. Displayed are fixed texts (“Printed by:” and “Print date:”) and the names of the used variables (“Created.User”, “Created.Date” and “binLocationList.Barcode”).
The names of the variables provided by the program can be found in the left central area on the Dictionary tab:
The usage of the individual objects can be seen in the Report Tree:
- The report contains one page = Storage location label.
- On the page are the bands
- “Report Title” ( Storage Location_Labels) with the data fields Text1 to Text4
- “Data” (storage location) arranged with the BarCode1 data field.
