The shipment is used to consolidate several customer orders into one shipment number.

The shipment can be confirmed with a shipment booking to the booking destination “Shipment Consolidation”. With the shipment confirmation to the booking destination, the sales order status “Ready for dispatch” is assigned.

The Shipment Number field in the sales order header is used to assign a shipment. For joint loading of the shipment, the sales order “Tour No.” should be maintained with the identical number of the shipment.

The data fields can be filled manually or automatically by the data interface.

Shipment control center

Menu: System → Goods out → Shipments

In the shipment control centre, all assigned customer orders are displayed for a shipment number. Searches are possible by shipment number and shipment status, among other things.

Status of the shipment:

  • “Shipment open”
  • “Shipment in progress”.
  • “Shipment complete in SGDZ” (SDGZ)

(SDGZ = Shipment Destination, corresponds to the zone “Shipment Consolidation”)

Start shipment:

  • Strategy Maintenance with type “Shipment automatic” required. It starts the shipment as soon as all sales orders for the shipment are available with the status “Ready for loading”. A source and destination setting must be included in the strategy. Actual standard must also be activated.
  • Strategy maintenance with type “Shipment manual” required. The manual start of the shipment is executed from the shipment control centre.
  • With the shipment start, a transport of the storage units to the stored destination is carried out. If the destination node has the zone type “Shipment consolidation”, the sales order status “Ready for shipment” is also updated as soon as all shipment transports have been confirmed.

  • “Make shipment available” see “Shipment completion”.
  • “Force Shipment Completion” see “Shipment Completion”.

Shipment Transfer

Transport processing depends on the strategy setting.

With the default setting, each transport position from the source to the destination must be confirmed.

Shipment completion

Process shipment automatically:

  • The shipment is considered completed as soon as all shipment items receive the status “Completed”.
  • Interface confirmation for message type “ShipmentOut_v1”. Only those consignment items are reported which have been processed in COGLAS for goods issue.

Process Shipment manually:

  • Shipment Control centre Button [Provide shipment].
  • The shipment was started manually.
  • All consignment items that do not have the status “Ready for loading” are removed from the shipment. For removed sales orders, the consignment number field is cleared.
  • The cleared shipment is considered completed as soon as all shipment items have the status “Completed”.
  • Interface feedback for message type “ShipmentOut_v1”. Only those consignment items are reported which have been processed in COGLAS for goods issue.

Process Force shipment completion:

  • Shipment Control Centre Button [Force Shipment Completion].
  • The shipment was started manually.
  • All shipment items are considered for shipment transport. Sales order partial quantity and unprocessed are thus possible and are served with the function “Accept short confirmation”.
  • Interface confirmation for message type “ShipmentOut_v1”. All shipment items are reported, regardless of the sales orders for which stocks were actually processed in the goods issue.

Start loading

The transport orders for the selected loading area are generated here. Depending on the start option selected for the customer order, the load units to be loaded are either at staging (Start order for staging) or still in the storage area (Start order for picking).

In any case, all included customer orders must be in the “Ready for loading” status at the start of the tour.
